This survey was part of a project,

a continuation of my 'What Makes Us Tick'

blog series from 2010 - 2011. 

That series sought out anecdotes from my readers

on subjects relating to the origins of ABDL. 

My readers submitted some amazing stuff. 

For 2018, I tried something new: a survey. 

I put it out across ABDL social media,

drawing from a broad cross-section of ABDLs.

I'll be sharing the results at an upcoming presentation I'll give at CAPCON,

and will publish them at Abysitter.com this spring. 

My goal was to get at many ABDLs as possible to complete the survey,

and to use the information provided to help provide

more information about

"The Origins of ABDL."

We'll explore what paraphilia infantilism is,

and its relationship with attachment theory and imprinting. 

Could this help explain the origins behind this fetish

for some of us? 

There is a belief that family influences growing up

may have a profound effect on our psyche. 

In the survey, a series of questions will explore this,

looking for commonalities to explain this in greater detail. 

We'll compare our 'first steps' - 

first diapers, first networking or social networking,

first meet ups, and more. 

I'll share the survey results

in a presentation on the subject at CAPCON in March.

and an e-book on the subject, will be released in the spring.

And we'll be seeking respondents from around the world,

as we explore the differences in cultures

coupled with the similarities in

our love for diapers. 

We'll be looking for stories from older ABDLs,

as we try to explain the profound influence the internet has had

on our community.
